All seats are currently sold out through November. December seats will be released on September 15 at noon at noon through OpenTable. Our booking window allows for reservations up to 3 months in advance.

December Reservations

Reservations for December at Sassafras will be released this Tuesday, September 15, at noon.

As the year draws to a close, the restaurant settles into its most intimate season—a fire-lit room, the quiet of the Eastern Shore in winter, and a menu shaped by the ingredients and traditions of the colder months.

Sassafras will maintain its usual Wednesday–Saturday schedule for most of December, with special hours during the holiday weeks:

Christmas Week
Open December 22 and 23
Closed December 24–26

New Year’s Week
Open December 28, 29, and 30
Closed December 31–January 2

We look forward to welcoming you to the table this winter. Reservations are limited and are expected to fill quickly.

Pricing for December is $225 per guest. A 22% service charge is added during checkout. Additional gratuity is not expected. Maryland state or alcohol tax and a 2% OpenTable surcharge are also included in the total at booking.

Dinner begins promptly at 6:45pm; doors open at 6:30pm.

The experience lasts approximately 3 hours.

Reservations Are Nonrefundable
Similar to tickets for a sporting event, concert, or theater performance, all Sassafras reservations are prepaid and final sale. Reservations cannot be refunded or credited toward a future date. If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your reservation to another party by emailing us at eat@restaurantsassafras.com in advance.

Additional Reservation Information:

• We accept reservations for parties of 2 or 4 guests. The maximum party we seat is 4.

• Our Chef's Counter is an intimate, though communal, dining experience. We ask our guests to refrain from loud and boisterous behavior, and avoid wearing perfume or cologne, as it interrupts the experience of our other guests.

• We are able to accommodate tree nut and peanut allergies with advance notice. We are unable to accommodate other allergies or restrictions. You may skip courses.

• You may not book multiple parties to increase your party's size. Your reservation will be forfeited without a refund. The maximum party size is 4. We appreciate your cooperation.

ALLERGIES & DIETARY RESTRICTIONS: We are unable to accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies, with the exception of peanut and tree nut. Please ensure all of your accompanying guests are fully aware of our allergy and dietary restriction policies. In the event that you have an allergy or dietary restriction that we are unable to accommodate, you may elect to skip courses. However, we cannot guarantee that your dishes are allergen free.
